GETTIN' GLAM AT THE GUILDHALL

This month at Curious Magpie we’ve been getting our glam on at the Guildhall in Leicester in preparation for their Wedding Fair on september 8th - keep your eyes peeled on social media for more info! It was an eventful day (to say the least!) but it was an absolute pleasure to share it with so many talented ladies from all over the Midlands.

We wanted to make sure we captured the breath taking essence of the building itself as well as bringing in an element of the outdoors (with some funky extras of course!). But for this we needed foliage… and lots of it! The team rallied in Jules' wagon (with various bits and bobs loaded in the back) and headed for the road side… glamorous, we know!

The forage was a success, minus the nettle stings and minor sunburn! Next stop, the Guildhall in Leicester, where the true pimping would begin. The building itself is incredible; high ceilings, wooden beamed walls and floors as well as INSANE light! We hit three main areas with our styling heads on; the stage, the balcony and the original table that would end up being the focal point for the cake. The technique? Fill everywhere with foraged foliage and go from there…

AS WE MENTIONED BEFORE, THIS DAY WAS EVENTFUL IN MORE WAYS THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE BUT IT ALL CAME TOGETHER IN THE END AND WE’VE MANAGED TO SHOWCASE SOME REALLY INCREDIBLE WORK FROM EVEN MORE INCREDIBLE WOMEN #GIRLPOWER
